The third annual Quest Trust Cricket Day took place on Friday 19th June 2026 at Spring View Cricket & Bowling Club, bringing together pupils, staff, club members and the wider community for a day of sport, celebration and partnership.
This year’s event was proudly sponsored by Murphy, internationally recognised civil engineering company renowned for creating lasting legacies in the communities where it operates and for its commitment to developing future generations. Murphy’s involvement continues to strengthen year on year, reflecting its ongoing support for both Quest Trust and the long-term growth of the club.
As a principal sponsor during Spring View’s historic centenary year, Murphy has played a significant role in supporting the club’s development, enhancing facilities and creating opportunities for young people across the community. Its partnership with Quest Trust continues to expand, helping to deliver educational enrichment, increased sporting participation and wider community engagement.
The event was delivered with the full support of the Spring View Cricket & Bowling Club Management Committee, whose dedication has helped establish Cricket Day as a highlight of the local sporting calendar.
Reflecting on the occasion, Stuart Broad, Murphy employee and Chair of Cricket at Spring View Cricket & Bowling Club, said:
“It is a fantastic day for both the club and Quest Trust. The event continues to grow year on year, and this third edition coincides with our centenary celebrations, a truly significant milestone in the club’s history. I would like to personally thank Murphy for their continued support. Their commitment makes days like this possible and helps us create opportunities that will benefit young people for many years to come.”
The day featured a full programme of cricket matches, coaching sessions and activities designed to inspire young players while strengthening the relationship between the school and the club. Throughout the event, the atmosphere reflected the pride, celebration and community spirit that underpin both organisations.
As Spring View celebrates 100 years at the heart of the community, the success of this year’s Cricket Day highlights the power of partnership between education, sport and industry in creating meaningful opportunities and investing in the next generation.
